Prevention

Our prevention professionals work with schools, youth service bureaus, law enforcement, community leaders, parents and others throughout Connecticut to educate about the risk factors facing today’s youth, including the harmful effects of drug and alcohol use.

Our Goals

The specific goals of the Local Prevention Councils (LPCs) are to increase awareness of ATOD (Alcohol, Tobacco & Other Drugs) prevention / education and stimulate the development and implementation of local prevention activities available to our youth.
